A 24-year-old woman from Naples, Chiara (not her real name) has broken her silence after years of abuse by her father, who allegedly attacked and threatened to kill her because she is a lesbian. The man, 51, is now in custody, facing charges of stalking and domestic violence.
Chiara revealed that the abuse had gone on for years, escalating recently when her father confronted her at work, calling her a disgrace and demanding she change her last name. “He said I disgusted him and wished me the worst possible death,” she said in an interview with Radio Pride.
Her decision to report him came after another violent outburst at home, where he banged on her bathroom door, threatening to kill her. Police responded swiftly and arrested the man.
Refusing to be silenced, Chiara has decided to keep her surname. She now urges others in similar situations to speak up: “You are not wrong, you are not aliens, you are not psychopaths. You haven’t killed anyone, you don’t have an addiction. You are not a problem for anyone, nor for society. We are human, like everyone else, regardless of skin color. Report, confront, and report. A Turin teacher at an art high school has been sentenced for the anti lesbian and sexual harassment of 8 female students between the ages of 17 and 18. The 55 year old teacher denied many of the comments made in 2021, defending his “educational method”.
The man has now been sentenced on appeal to a one-year prison sentence, with conditional suspension, having originally been sentenced to pay a fine of 400 euros for harassment.
They decided to lock her in the house, not accepting her sexuality. The key figures in this disconcerting story are a couple from Ercolano, Naples. The carabinieri arrested the two parents (47 and 43) for kidnapping and mistreatment of their 19 year old lesbian daughter. The parents had already threatened to burn down the house of their daughter and her 20-year-old girlfriend. The two young women, frightened, had taken refuge in the home of a friend. The parents of the 19-year-old, however, had installed a GPS in their daughter’s cell phone and managed to find the girls, showing up at the house and forcefully taking their daughter amid the screams of those present, dragging her into the car to leave.
Before the kidnapping, the young woman had been subjected to violene and threats: “They beat me with a club, I wanted to end it all. My mother told me she would come to cry at the cemetery.”
Outraged because two young girls publicly were affectionate on the bus, a seventy-year-old threatened them with a knife and repeatedly insulted them by shouting “ugly lesbians, either stop it or I’ll put a knife in your belly”.
The serious instance of homophobia occured the other evening on the Amt bus number 13 from Corso Saffi to the terminus of via Turati, in Caricamento. Legal, social and familial punishment of lesbians for failing to conform with the expectations imposed on women illuminates the status of women around the world. Homosexuality is understood to be a breach of sex-based expectations. Strictly enforced sex roles are accompanied by increased consequences for those who break them, individually or collectively. Lesbians, or women read as lesbians, are doubly punishable for their non-conformity, both overt and inferred.

Una sentenza storica, quella presa dalla Corte d’Appello nei confronti dell’ex allenatore della Novese, riconosciuto colpevole di stalking e frasi omofobe ai danni delle sue calciatrici, con stop di 3 anni. Maurizio Fossati, allenatore delle ragazze nella stagione 2019/2020, era stato deferito dalla Procura federale della Figc dopo la denuncia di alcune calciatrici.
Fossati, che solo un anno prima aveva ricevuto il premio di educatore sportivo dell’anno, era stato accusato di aver insultato le giocatrici per il loro aspetto fisico, per l’orientamento sessuale e per i flirt avuti con alcune compagne di spogliatoio.
