Update: Arrest finally made over young lesbian Nicole Saavedra’s 2016 rape and murder

The Valparaíso Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that an individual was arrested as for the kidnapping, rape and murder of young lesbian Nicole Saavedra, who was found dead on June 25, 2016, after having disappeared on the 18th of the same month in Quillota [Chile].

Víctor Alejandro Pulgar Vidal, micro driver of the El Melón-Limache route, was identified by the Investigative Police (PDI), and charges will be formalised in the Quillota Guarantee Court on November 13 2019 at 8:40 am.

[prosecutor Claudia] Perivancich also said that Pulgar is already serving a sentence “of ten years and one day, for the rape of a minor, with another rape charge underway”, also of a minor.

For her part, Saavedra’s cousin, María Francisca Bahamondes, said on Facebook that “after a long struggle of more than three years, where I had to chain myself to the National Prosecutor’s Office to be heard, where we took over the Prosecutor’s Office of Quillota, after a tireless and painful fight, I want to tell you that we found Nicole’s killer, the damn bastard is Víctor Alejandro Pulgar Vidal, driver of the Guerra commercial micro. La Fiscalía de Valparaíso confirmó que se detuvo a un sindicado individuo … como el autor de los delitos de secuestro y violación con homicidio de Nicole Saavedra, la joven lesbiana, que fue encontrada muerta el 25 de junio de 2016, tras haber desaparecido el 18 del mismo mes en Quillota.

Se trata de Víctor Alejandro Pulgar Vidal, chofer de micro del recorrido El Melón-Limache, quien fue identificado por la Policía de Investigaciones (PDI), quien será formalizado el próximo 13 de noviembre a las 8:40 en el Tribunal de Garantía de Quillota.

Perivancich también afirmó que Pulgar ya se encuentra cumpliendo una condena, “de diez años y un día, por el delito de violación de menor de edad. Actualmente también cursa un proceso criminal en su contra, también por el delito de violación” de otra persona, menor de 18 años.

Por su parte, la prima de Saavedra, María Francisca Bahamondes, sostuvo en su cuenta de Facebook que “después de más de tres años de una larga lucha, donde tuve que encadenarme en Fiscalía Nacional para ser escuchada, donde nos tomamos la Fiscalía de Quillota, tras una incansable y dolorosa lucha, quiero decirles que encontramos al asesino de Nicole, el maldito desgraciado es Víctor Alejandro Pulgar Vidal, chofer de la micro comercial Guerra. Familia Bahamondes, lo logramos!”.
