A 48-year-old woman (with the initials GFSC) and her partner were harassed and physically attacked because of their sexual orientation by two neighbors, DM and ER, in Lampa. The events occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, before which the women had been subjected to verbal abuse by their neighbours just because they are a couple and live together.
The attack, which occurred on January 16, took place when GFSC was watering an area of her garden, which is a common area with that of her neighbours. The victim explained that at that point the man and woman “came out to insult me, shouting that I was queer and dirty. The neighbour hit me on my arm and back with a broomstick and together with his partner they hit me on different parts of my body until I fell to the ground. Between the two of them they kicked my head, in front of many neighbors and children. I lost consciousness,” she said.
In addition, she added that when her partner came to outside to help her, the insults continued. “They called us “queer, dirty, “cuernúas” and dirty old dykes.” Only the presence of commune security officials stopped the attack. They called the Carabineros, who never came.

Una mujer de 48 años, de iniciales G.F.S.C y su pareja, fueron insultadas y agredidas físicamente en razón de su orientación sexual por dos vecinos, D.M y E.R, en Lampa. Los hechos ocurrieron a eso de las 20:00 horas del sábado, antes de ello, las mujeres habían sido víctimas de una seguidilla de insultos por parte de sus vecinos, solo porque son pareja y convivientes.
El ataque ocurrido el 16 de enero, tuvo lugar cuando G.F.S.C estaba regando un área de su casa, que es común con la de sus vecinos. En esos momentos, las víctimas narran que el hombre y la mujer “salieron a insultarme, gritando que era maricona y sucia. La vecina me golpeó el brazo y la espalda con un palo de escobillón y junto a su pareja me dieron golpes en distintas partes del cuerpo hasta lanzarme al suelo. Ahí entre ambos le dieron patadas a mi cabeza, frente a muchos vecinos y niños. Perdí la conciencia”, relató.
Además, añadió que cuando su pareja llegó al lugar para asistirla, los insultos continuaron. “Nos decían “mariconas, sucias, cuernúas y viejas culias cochinas”. Solo la presencia de funcionarios de Seguridad de la comuna logró parar la agresión, estos llamaron a Carabineros, sin embargo, nunca llegaron al lugar.
