On Friday, Hawaii’s Intermediate Court of Appeals upheld a previous ruling that found a Hawaii Kai bed and breakfast was discriminatory for refusing the lesbian couple a room because of their sexual orientation.

U.S: School accused of preventing lesbian couple from attending prom together

Alabama teens Janizia and Raven have been dating since September and talking about prom since December.
To make it memorable for her girlfriend, Janizia decided to stage a “promposal” — the act of inviting someone to prom in an elaborate fashion, often involving props and flash mobs.

Facebook, Google, Starbucks join in Georgia lesbian’s US Supreme Court fight

Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Starbucks and Viacom have joined 71 other companies in an amicus (“friend of the court”) brief supporting Georgia lesbian Jameka Evans in her efforts to ask the US Supreme Court to hear her case. Evans claims she was harassed in the workplace and fired from her security-officer position at Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah because she is a lesbian and wears her hair in an androgynous style. Lambda Legal is seeking a nationwide ruling affirming that sexual orientation discrimination violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

Mississippi: A Court Ruled That an Anonymous Sperm Donor Has Parental Rights, but This Lesbian Mom Doesn’t

“The court carved out an exception to the rule that a child born to a married couple is the legal child of both spouses, ruling that children born as a result of assisted reproduction are the children of the mother and the anonymous sperm donor,” said Beth Littrell, Lambda Legal Counsel. “The lower court’s decision is demeaning and destabilizing, marking Chris and her children as unworthy of the usual protections married families rely on when adult relationships fail.”

“That the court considers an unknowable donor who provided sperm to a fertility clinic more of a parent than the person who takes care of the child when he is sick or helps him with his homework is a slap in the face to thousands of Mississippi families,” Littrell added.
