Argentina: march organised after lesbian couple attacked

“She was at the bus stop, on the 30th and 163rd streets of Berisso with her partner watching a video, when a man accompanied by a lady and her children watching her, berated her and asked her why she didn’t dress as a man”, she told Télam Sandra Di Seri, of the Darío Santillán Corriente Nacional Front, an organization that includes the attacked woman.

According to the victim, the man then told her “I would kill you, I would have to kill you,”. He spat and struck her face twice, breaking her glasses and hurting one of her ears.

“Then a patrolman approached, but despite the fact that the companion explained to the troops what had happened, they did not intervene,” said Di Seril who did not want to reveal the identity of the assaulted woman since the formal complaint was not yet filed.

Según contó la víctima, el hombre luego le dijo “te mataría, tendría que matarte”, la escupió y le propinó dos golpes en la cara que le rompieron los anteojos y lastimaron una de sus orejas.

“Luego se acercó un patrullero, pero pese a que la compañera le explicó a los efectivos lo que había ocurrido, estos no intervinieron”, agregó Di Seril que no quiso revelar la identidad de la agredida ya que todavía no fue radicada la denuncia formal.
