Argentina: lesbian attacked by family in front of partner and child

Yésica is a cumbia singer, an activist for the right to legal abortion and the separation of the Church of the State. She is 28 years old, a lesbian and lives with her 7 year old daughter and her partner. On June 4 she went to visit her mother in Villa Ballester. There was a strong argument between her mother and her aunt, Yésica approached to separate them and her cousin Walter Rodríguez Lazarte (17) hit her in the head with a rusty pipe of plumbing screaming “lesbian whore, lesbian shit”. She felt tingling in her head and fell to the floor. Her cousin hit her again with the pipe in his head.
